One month left in the semester and this is my first blog post! We've been back at the center as "super seniors" and things are no less busy than before. It's great being just a "visitor" and having many responsibilities passed on to other students. On the other hand, I end up taking on other tasks so the pressure and anxiety aren't actually diminished. It's against my nature to sit back when I see areas for improvement. It works both for and against me.
I was asked to write an article about the Retreat Center graduation celebration. It started as a recap of the day and evolved into something quite different. The process itself was reminiscent of the mental and emotional hurdles I encountered at the center. To be frank, it dredged up a lot of negative feelings and restless days and nights. However, the end result was a much more meaningful piece and valuable experience in writing.
